The Dubai International Airport has chosen an Eagle S 4230 as the most important access platform for its maintenance service....

It’s for sure not the first selling of Oil&Steel in the Middle East area but it’s definitely the most important until today: the Dubai International Airport has purchased a model of Eagle S 4230 for powering its maintenance service platform fleet.

This important deal has been closed through Al Laith Scaffolding, which has been the new dealer for Oil&Steel products in the United Arab Emirates since last summer .
Dubai International Airport is the 7th most trafficked airport for number of international passengers in the World and this data underlines perfectly how much its maintenance service is involved in for assuring all works safely.

The Eagle S 4230 is equipped with a main and a secondary jibs. The last jib is used for “negative” movements, allowing the operator, after having carried out an ascending movement with the main boom, and having carried out a lateral extension with the second boom ( main jib ), to carry out another vertical movement, up or down, thanks to the secondary jib. This platform is particularly indicated for interventions under trusses or in areas with many obstacles at high elevations (for example, in petrol-chemical plants).

This model of Eagle S is able to perform 42 m of maximum working height and 30 m of maximum lateral outreach; it’s a really compact trucked access platform if compared to its performances and this characteristic is emphasized by the fact which is installed on an Iveco Stralis 26 ton.
Eagle S 4230 is equipped with the new LIVE WORK SYSTEM, which greatly facilitates various operative stages and increases safety for the operators at levels that were before unthinkable.
The LIVE WORK SYSTEM is a telecommunication system that operates in real time and allows the operator to communicate between the basket and the ground control station with a webcam and a fixed microphone. Yet, the distinctive quality of the system is the possibility of transmitting images and sound at any distance in real time, for example, to request advice during an intervention at high elevations without having to descend, through an adjustable manual webcam that can be used by the operator to frame the specific work area. The person contacted can then visualize the video at a distance through a specially designed website.
The Eagle S 4230 offers the operator the possibility to visualize, on a digital display during the stabilization stage, the perfect stability of the vehicle using a digital spirit level, which prevents the operator from committing any errors. The operator can then decide how wide the stabilizer bar can be widened. If the space for stabilizing is reduced, due to the presence of obstacles, the operator can decide to stabilize the vehicle remaining within the dimensions of the gauge, without occupying more space than that occupied by the truck. In relation to the stabilization of the vehicle, and the number of operators (which must first be decided before any type of ascending maneuver is carried out), the Eagle S automatically programs the work area and, therefore, does not allow the operator to carry out movements out of this area, which can involve risks for the stability of the vehicle. This exceptional capacity makes the new Eagle S series extremely useful in countries where, such as in Italy, due to urban characteristics, a vehicle cannot be completely stabilized.
This important deal  – says Andrea Certo, CEO of Oil&Steel carried out together with Al Laith Scaffolding, underlines the positive feeling of the market over Eagle S series and the important success gained internationally .
