Oil&Steel celebrates a positive 2008 despite the difficult economic situation andis preparing itself to live a 2009 at high rhythm thanks to the several new products which are going to be presented at the French exhibition, where Oil&Steel is present in the outdoor area E5 stand H021.
Oil&Steel is showing in Paris 4 brand new models which, together with the Snake 2010 Compact, will help to conquer new market shares.
After the extraordinary success gained by the 20 m high double pantograph Snake 2010 Compact, Oil&Steel has been developing 2 other models: the Snake 1770 Compact and the Snake 2512 Compact.
The first one, installed on 3.5 ton truck, is able of a maximum working height of 17 m and of a maximum working outreach of 7 m. The particular feature of this model is represented by the stabilization system “in shape”; thanks to this characteristic the Snake 1770 Compact can be stabilized in few seconds and needs really reduced stabilization space, this enables the operator park the platform in narrow spaces without invading neither the road nor the sidewalks.
The total dimensions of the this model are 2400 mm high and 5790 mm long, the double pantograph structure is the same as the Snake 2010 Compact, like the low control panel, located on the border of the chassis to facilitate operating from this control point.
The Snake 2512 Compact will be presented on an Iveco Daily 6 tons. The maximum working height is 25 m and the maximum working outreach is 12 m; it has been developed to respond to the increasing request of access platforms installed on light vehicles, with a G.V.W. of more than 3.5 ton, for the hire sector without operator.
Like the other models of Snake Compact series the 2512 is characterized by the position of the low control panel on the border of the chassis, the 360° rotation, all electric and hydraulic connections passing through the booms for better protection.
Furthermore, Oil&Steel has chosen Paris for the World Premiere of the brand new Octopussy EVO tracked access platforms.
Remember that Oil&Steel was the first company to launch on the market in 1996 the concept of compact tracked platform ( spider platform ) which has then been used by many other competitors. After 13 years Oil&Steel presents the band new Octopussy EVO series through: the Octopussy 1500 EVO and the Octopussy 1800 EVO which will represent the evolution point respect to what’s in the market today.
Main features of the this innovative series are: the new multi-area stabilization system, 45° right + 45° left rotating basket, tracks enlargeable from 78 to 108.5 cm and, in particular, the 45° right+ 45° left hydraulically rotating jib ( optional ).
This last feature is a real evolution from a conceptual point of view especially for a compact tracked platform: it will be possible to turn the jib for increasing the intervention space without repositioning the platform; for example, a gardener will be able to prune both the sides of a tree not only the one in front of which he has stabilized.
In Paris Oil&Steel wants to launch a strong message to the whole market. – says Andrea Certo, CEO of Oil&Steel – Despite the World crisis we are heavily investing in research and development because we are confident which only thanks to innovative and technologically advanced products we’re stimulating the demand. –
Beside the above mentioned novelties the visitors of Oil&Steel’s stand will admire the new best seller of the Oil&Steel’s product range: Snake 2010 Compact. Since only 3 months from its launch on the market, this new model has already been collecting the approval of the customers; this fact is underlined by more than 80 orders confirmed by customers from all over the World.
Furthermore Oil&Steel will show an Eagle S 6232, truck mounted platform able of a maximum working height of 62 m and of a maximum working outreach of 32 m. The Eagle S 6232 which will be exhibited is owned by an important French rental company , Revel SA, which has already ordered other models of the same series.
